Blog goals for 2013

With the busy months of NaNo and December I had a small blogging break where I didn't post as much so I could concentrate on writing.  Now that those two months are over I'm back to my blog along with some goals for schedules and posts:

1) Stick with Monday for writing, Tuesday for TTT, and Wednesday for RTW.

2) Book reviews for Thursday

3) Save the weekend for a rest, catch up on writing, chores etc.

4) Take part in the 'Currently' meme for the end of the month and do a post on things to look forward to/goals in the next month.

Do you have any blog goals for 2013? :)

  1. As one of the lovely people who read my blog (Yay! Thank you, Robin!), you know that I've pretty much ditched a strict blogging schedule. Sure, I do try to do RTW as often as possible, and I have my Sunday Devotional, but for everything else, pretty much it's whatever whenever. Saying that, I have noticed that I tend to get the most blog traffic Tues-Thurs, so if I am going to post articles, I'll probably be on one of those days.

The only major plan for my blog this year is to participate in the A-Z Blogging Challenge again in April. If you recall, this is where people blog an article a day--except Sundays--for the month, with each article being related to the letter of the alphabet assigned to that day. The A-Z folks will be posting details about this year's challenge on Monday. If you, or any of your readers are interested, the challenge blog is here.

All the best with your blog goals, Robin! I look forward to reading your posts. :)

  2. The only things set on my blog are the ROW80 updates on Sunday and the Author Spotlight on Sat -- both on weekend, odd, right?
I thought about moving the Author Spotlight on Friday, but I've been asked to participate in a few cover reveals on Fridays in the past, so that's why I left open.
I try to participate as much as I can of RTW and TTT, but sometimes I don't have much to say about the topic, and sometimes I'm just too busy and it wouldn't be fair of me to post, expect ppl to comment, and take a long time to comment on their blogs ...
Other than that, my blog is open for whenever/whatever, like Colin. I like helping other authors spread the word so I always sign up for Cover Reveals and Blog Tours of authors/books I like ;)

  3. Those are some good goals, Robin. I've been thinking that I need to come up with some kind of blog schedule so that I have something that keeps me blogging. My blog post ideas are running low right now.

Can't wait to read your Currently post! :)

  4. I remember that from last year, Colin. :) Looked like a lot of fun and I love trying out new blogging challenges so I might consider it this year.

You and Juliana are certainly more chilled out with blogging which I envy. I need to be a bit more OCD with it because I like knowing when to blog and what I can write a post about it. I'm just very fussy. ;)

Jaime, I took part in a blogfest back in May call Blog Me Maybe. You didn't have to write every day but each day had a topic prompt that you could use which really helped me when I felt I was struggling to come up with things to write. There was a Thursday spotlight where you gush about another blogger, an author, book, character etc. Here's the link if you're interested: :)

  5. Good luck with your goals :D

    ...Ohmigosh I need to get back on my schedule. December really threw me off ^^;

  6. Same! December was such a chaotic month. Hopefully January and a new year will get me back on track. :)

  7. Good for you for having a schedule for blogging. Mine is... not even close to having a schedule :) haha

    Happy new Year!
